About Skin, Coat & Food Sensitivity Diets
Hydrolysed and single-novel-protein diets break protein into fragments too small for the immune system to react to. The trial runs eight to twelve weeks with absolutely no treats, table food or flavoured medication.
Skin support formulas and topical or oral supplements add omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that strengthen the skin barrier — useful for dogs with environmental allergies who will not improve on diet alone.
Medicated shampoos are part of the same plan. Regular bathing removes allergens and reduces bacterial and yeast load between veterinary visits.
Frequently asked questions
Can I give treats during a food trial?
Only treats from the same hypoallergenic range. A single normal biscuit can invalidate weeks of the trial, which is why matching hypoallergenic treats are stocked alongside the diets.
